50 Years of Promoting Constructive Change
Over the past 50 years, we’ve broadened our global impact by adding international offices, contributing to academic research, and developing, team-building simulations, accreditation workshops, and consulting services. Thanks to those of you who joined us decades ago in Strengthening Organizations through Individual Effectiveness or more recently in Changing the World—One Organization at a Time®.
In 1971, J. Clayton Lafferty, Ph.D., set out to provide groundbreaking yet accessible leadership development tools to HR professionals. Dr. Lafferty’s original clock-like model fueled the development of one of the first 360 feedback tools, the Life Styles Inventory™. After modifying the clock and renaming it the “Circumplex,” Robert A. Cooke, Ph.D., joined Clay in developing an integrated diagnostic system, starting with the Organizational Culture Inventory.
